Greg Peden is a 30-year veteran of state and local policy, public affairs and politics. From the halls of Portland City Hall to the corridor of the State Capitol, Greg knows how to advance the goals of clients through trusted relationships, coalition-building and an insider’s knowledge of how government works. He is a recognized expert in energy, public safety, telecommunications and natural resource policy.
Prior to Gallatin, Greg served on the staff of Oregon Governor John Kitzhaber where he advised the Governor on public safety and corrections. He also played key roles on Kitzhaber’s first campaign for Governor in 1994 and his successful (first) re-election in 1998. After the Governor’s office, Greg served as Director of Law and Policy for Qwest (formerly Centurylink and Lumen) and Vice President for Government Affairs and Economic Development for the Portland Business Alliance (now Portland Metro Chamber). Each of these roles has put Greg at the center of major policy debates and political decisions that have shaped the City of Portland and State of Oregon.
Greg and his wife Sheri have grown children. Greg enjoys biking, skiing and tending to his property in Yamhill County at the foothills of Oregon wine country.
