Managing Partner and Shareholder, Washington
Bruce Gryniewski has been active in political campaigns and issues for nearly 20 years. He specializes in bridging ideological divides to advance both sustainability and economic development. A shareholder based in the firm’s Seattle office, Bruce combines high-level strategy counsel with practical relationships and public policy knowledge to help business interests navigate the often-challenging political and regulatory environment in the Pacific Northwest. He is recognized as a regional leader in developing public affairs strategies for energy exports.
Prior to joining Gallatin, Bruce served for five years as Executive Director of Washington Conservation Voters (WCV). In addition to shaping the organization into a well-funded, influential voice for environmental issues and causes, Bruce helped launch Priorities for a Healthy Washington, a legislative program that has led to unprecedented gains for the environmental community in the state legislature. Prior to WCV, he served as Executive Director of Washington CeaseFire, where he helped build an unlikely coalition of gun control and 2nd Amendment interests to seek passage of gun storage legislation in the Washington Legislature.
Bruce earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Arts degree from University of Rochester (NY). He serves on the board of the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust. Bruce and his wife have four children and live in West Seattle.
“Real policy change starts in the boardroom. After five years as one of the leading environmental advocates in Washington State, I joined Gallatin Public Affairs so that I could help businesses with environmental challenges succeed. I understand the environmental community’s policies and politics, and help create strategies that win support for even the most controversial projects.”
